Born in Mexico, with Argentine and Canadian roots, Stephanie Phair earned a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University. Stephanie’s career began in New York, where she held various roles in the fashion and ecommerce industries, starting with PR and communications at Siren PR and brand marketing at Issey Miyake. She was hired at American Vogue magazine under Anna Wintour to focus on communications where she had an active role in the creation and launch of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, and the annual Met Costume Institute Gala. In 2005 she joined Portero.com, the first online pre-owned marketplace site for luxury goods where she led business development, product and commerce. From 2009 until Nov 2015, she was President of THE OUTNET.COM, the second business of the NET-A-PORTER Group which she founded and launched in 2009 and sat on the Executive Committee of the NET-A-PORTER Group. Currently, Stephanie Phair is Chief Strategy Officer at Farfetch responsible for strategy, innovation and Corporate Development, is an advisor to Felix Capital and consultant to various digital start-ups.
