Anna Zanardi
Independent Director
Anna Zanardi moves between worlds that may seem far apart: business, psyche, and spirituality. Trained as an economist, a psychologist by vocation, and a theologian through inner inquiry, she has built a career spanning boardrooms and laboratories devoted to developing self-awareness and consciousness. She holds two degrees (Economics and Psychology) and two PhDs—one in the psychology of grief and the other in Indo-Vedic studies. For over 30 years she has worked at the intersection of enterprise, the psyche, and inner research, supporting more than 100 CEOs and leadership teams in national and international companies and organizations (including Fortune Global 500 multinationals) through strategic and cultural transformation, with a focus on decision-making processes, leadership, values, and executive coaching. She has held—and continues to hold—roles on Boards of Directors and board committees (Nominations/Remuneration and Risk) in listed and international companies, including Salvatore Ferragamo, Cerved, Cedacri, Maccaferri, Moncler, and Wateralia.
She has taught at universities and business schools (Università Cattolica, Politecnico, and LUISS Business School, where she served as Professor of Practice and led programs until 2023). She is the author of more than 20 books on leadership and coaching, and she collaborates with publications such as Forbes UK and Harvard Business Review. She combines solid clinical and socio-institutional experience (oncology and hospice care, hospital settings, consultancy for the Italian Penitentiary Administration and prisoner reintegration programs; former honorary judge at the Juvenile Court and expert for the Surveillance Court) with training in Palo Alto under Paul Watzlawick and Richard Fish. Certified in thanatology (ADEC), mindfulness, and mediation, she has pursued interreligious studies (Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, and Indo-Vedic traditions).
Bilingual in Italian and German, she also works in English, French, Spanish, and Russian; she speaks colloquial Arabic and studies the principal ancient languages to engage with sacred texts. Her hallmark is helping individuals and organizations grow, without ever losing sight of the deeper meaning of change.
