Dear Shareholders, the year 2017 confirmed, once again, Moncler’s strenght and solidity. The Group achieved revenues above expectations, confirming Moncler’s successful strategy.

OVERVIEW

The origin of the name Moncler lie in its very roots: it is in fact an abbreviation of Monestier-de-Clermont, a mountain village near Grenoble. Here, inspired entrepreneur René Ramillon and Andrè Vincent founded the company in 1952 which would go on to create the renowned brand.

TRENDS & MARKET CONTEXT

The positive growth trend in global personal luxury good market is expected to continue, with a 4/5% average yearly growth (CAGR) for the next three years.

FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS

In 2017, Moncler posted revenues of 1.2 billion euros (+17% at constant exchange rates).
The EBIT was 304.9 million euros with a margin of 28.6%, net profit was up by 27% reaching 249.7 million euros and the net cash was positive and equal to 304.9 million euros.
